Maggie Wells attained her Fine Arts background from the Rhode Island School of Design. After establishing herself as a well-known artist in San Francisco, she relocated to Lower Manhattan and has for the last 20 years been involved in the New York artistic community. As well as working in clay she is also an abstract painter. Each piece of Ms. Wells’ collection is a unique sculpture made by building up coils of clay into the final form; which evolves as it is made. Natural forms are her main influence.
