OrchadiaDesigner: McKenna - StevensIndustrial product designer Mark McKenna and wire sculptor Rodger Stevens created Orchadia by melding the illuminated pendant and the kinetic sculpture. Mc Kenna designed the robot controlled mechanism in 2000. In this collaboration, Rodger Stevens wire tear drop forms were duplicated in printed circuit board by McKenna and then given life through magnetic wire which energize and provide the rope for movement. Composed of steel wire, printed circuit board, custom-coated magnet wire, fishing weights. Uses .3 watt incandescent bulbs. Custom designs are available.
